No 2.64... Smile V.1 |
| Finished 6th August 2000 Pastel on Heavy Art Paper Size: H 29.5" X W 22" (H 75cm x W 56cm) Price £100 or $145 Framed This painting was inspired by Prince Charles' smile. It is very boyish, happy and unaffected. Having said that, it also reveals his stiff upper lip aristocratic restraint. He can never entirely let go. Whilst this painting is inspired by his smile, it is probably too unrestrained and explosive for one accustomed to the disciplines of a very public life. It perhaps says what he would want to do if he was on a desert island with nobody looking: Let rip and laugh till he blows the palm trees away. I am going to do some more abstract smiles
