My Mother's deceased and second husband Jack Nevett has an interesting character.

I took a series of close up photo portraits which capture him in various moods.  This abstract impression is being painted in response to my Mother's requirement for a sensibly sized hangable picture for the kitchen of her flat in Marple, England.   He is in a cheerful and relaxed mood in his garden, enjoying a barbecue, hence the somewhat soothing  yet cheerful colours in the painting.

He had a heart condition and died instantly when he had a ceisure doing what he enjoyed most which was keeping the accounts of one of my Mother's flower clubs.  He was on the telephone at the time to one of the officials when it happened.
